Franklin Papers content added

Today we are adding to Founders Online 3,869 documents from the Papers of Benjamin Franklin editorial project at Yale University. They represent the documentary content of the first 20 volumes of the letterpress edition.
Beginning with the record of Franklin’s baptism in January 1706, the new material extends through the end of 1773, with letters carrying news of the Boston Tea Party across the Atlantic to Franklin in London, where he was serving as agent for several of the colonies.

The best way to cite a document in Founders Online is to use its permanent link or “permalink,” so we have added an explanatory page for permalinks.
We have made some under-the-hood fixes to the site for HTML5 validity.
