From Thomas Jefferson to the Board of Trade, 6 November 1779

To the Board of Trade

In Council Novr. 6th 79.

The Board of trade are requested to direct that Major Martin be furnished at the big island with 1000℔ iron 100℔ Steel and a Set of Smiths Tools for the Cherokee nation. Also 100 Gallons of good Whiskey or rum.
