To Alexander Hamilton from George Washington, 22 August 1792
From George Washington
Mount Vernon 22d. Augt. 1792.
Sir,
This will merely inform you that your letter of the 10th. with its enclosure and that of the 11th. Inst:1 have been duly received; and that if the Regulations of your Department, mentioned in the former, are carried strictly into execution, the most happy consequences, it is to be hoped, will result from them.
I am Sir &c.
