If I continue well and nothing extraordinary happens to prevent it, you shall have the Letter you so earnestly desire sometime next week. I am Sir Your most obedient humble Servant

2. The copy and transcripts presumably came from Izard’s file of the correspondence (which has since disappeared) for they all include a note by him: “N.B. I informed myself from time to time of Dr. Franklins health which was always good; and after having waited three weeks without hearing from him, I wrote him the following letter R.I.” That letter was his below of April 25.
