From George Washington to Elizabeth Powel, 7 September 1787
To Elizabeth Powel
[Philadelphia] Friday 7th Sep. 1787
Genl Washington presents his respectful compliments to Mrs Powell. He has, with much pleasure, perused the enclosed. He finds the sentiments perfectly just—the advice good, and he is persuaded of the favourable reception, and efficacy of them in the mind of his Nephew.1
