GW’s expenses for this date included £3.15 “To Cash pd for a pockett Almanack for the Genl” and £3.15 “To Cash pd for mending the Genl Spurr’s” (household account book, 11 April 1776–21 Nov. 1780, DLC:GW, ser. 5).
