2. Mazarine was a deep, rich blue.
3. The shoes were not ready to be sent with the other goods and were sent on 27 Feb. 1773 by “Captn Greg.” The goods for the dower plantations were also sent at that time (ALB, DLC:GW).
4. William Bayley, perfumer, had his business on Cockspur Street, Charing Cross.
5. The porter was sent with Cary’s 3 Dec. 1771 invoice. GW had ordered porter from Kenton from 1760 through 1766.
