16. Dined at my Brother Chas. & spent the Evening at Colo. Lewis’s.

GW today recorded paying his mother £30 cash in the presence of brother Charles (General Ledger B description begins General Ledger B, 1772–1793. Library of Congress, George Washington Papers, Series 5, Financial Papers. description ends , folio 45).
