4. Mr. Crawford set of for Williamsburg & Mr. Magowan for Colchester the last of whom returnd.

GW lent Crawford £5 for his journey, which the captain repaid upon his return to Mount Vernon later in the month (General Ledger A description begins General Ledger A, 1750–1772. Library of Congress, George Washington Papers, Series 5, Financial Papers. description ends , folio 302).
