The enclosed account (1 p.; docketed by JM), listed costs of £126 for the Madeira and £5.2 for “prem of Insce @ 39. pCent policy & commn.” Filed with the RC and enclosure are two additional accounts: one between JM and Anthony Charles Cazenove, with entries dated 29 Apr. and 7 May 1816 (1 p.; docketed by JM), charged JM a total of $273.45 for duties and shipping costs on “2 Pipes Mada. Wine” at Georgetown, D.C., and was probably for the wine mentioned in the present letter; the second account, undated and unsigned, addressed to JM (1 p.), listed charges of £150 for “2 Strong pipes of finest Old Wine” and £7.18 for insurance.
