§ From William Jams. 15 October 1806, Lisbon. “The foregoing letter went by the Brig Hannah, Captn Macey for Boston; since which nothing worthy of Notice has occurred. Inclosed I have the honor to hand you a letter from Mr Erving & a copy of a letter to His Excy Mr d Araujo accompanying Mr Dabney’s Commission.”

RC and enclosure (DNA: RG 59, CD, Lisbon, vol. 3). 1 p.; written below the second RC of Jarvis to JM, 9 [8] Oct. 1806; docketed by Wagner “William Jarvis / 8.9 & 15 Octr 1806.” The enclosed copy of Jarvis’s 14 Oct. 1806 letter to António de Araújo de Azevedo (1 p.; in a clerk’s hand; docketed by Wagner as “Recd. in Wm. Jarvis 8 Octr. 1806”) requested that the prince regent grant consular powers to John Bass Dabney in the Azores.
