From James Madison to Rufus King, 9 June 1788
To Rufus King
Richd. Monday June 9th. [1788]
Dear Sir
I have been for two days & still am laid up with a bilious attack. Writing is scarcely practicable & very injurious to me. I can only say to you therefore appearances have not changed sensibly since my last. I think we have a majority as yet; but the other party are ingenious & indefatigable. I wish you all happiness & am Yrs.
Js. Madison Jr.
