To Thomas Jefferson from Samuel Garland, 3 July 1823
Lynchburg July 3rd 1823
Sir
I have withdrawn your bond to the late firm of A Robertson & Co from Mr Branch of Richmond, Mr Miller for whose benefit it is, has become so very impatient and importunate on the subject of his collections that I must insist on your paying the balance of the bond during the current year. I beg to hear from you upon this subject.
Yo. obt. Sr.
