Feb. 25. wrote to him to remit 146. D to E. Copeland jr of Boston on acct of Dodge & Oxnard for wines, & to do it by check on a bank

FC (MHi); abstract in TJ’s hand subjoined to Dft of TJ to Peyton, 9 Feb. 1824, with FCs of TJ to Peyton, 1 Mar. and 3 [Mar.] [1824], subjoined; on verso of reused address cover of Peyton to TJ, 13 Feb. 1823; partially dated. Recorded in SJL as a letter to “Peyton Bernard” of 25 Feb. 1824, with additional bracketed notation: “to remit 146. D to E. Copeland.”

TJ noted in his financial records for this date that “74.61” was “Th: J. Randolph’s part” of the 146. d remittance (MB, 2:1402).
