Agreeably to your directions we have forwarded the above books per mail, wh we hope will come safely to hand.—
The price of Walsh’s American Register 2 Vols. is $6—
We shall forward next week, per mail, an extensive Supplement to our Catalogue, wh is now in the press—

RC (MHi); in the hands of two different representatives of Mathew Carey & Son, with dateline and account in one hand and body of letter in the other; endorsed by TJ as a letter from Mathew Carey received 18 July 1818 and so recorded in SJL. RC (MoSHi: TJC-BC); address cover only; with PoC of TJ to George Wyche, 10 Nov. 1818, on verso; addressed: “Hon: Thos Jefferson Monticello Virga”; franked; postmarked Philadelphia, 27 June.
At some point after receiving this letter, TJ prepared a memorandum of his account with Mathew Carey & Son in which he listed the titles and total cost of works the firm sent him on 8, 23 Jan., 11 Apr., 16 May, and 27 June 1818, along with his payments to Mathew Carey of 15 Jan., 1 Mar., and 21 June 1818 (MS in DLC: TJ Papers, 213:38011; entirely in TJ’s hand; undated; corner torn).
