MS (MHi); entirely in TJ’s hand; undated; subjoined to MS of Agreement with William Ballard, 18 July 1813.

In addition to the $200 that Thomas Jefferson randolph paid Ballard on 20 Oct. on TJ’s behalf, between then and 28 Oct. 1815 Randolph paid Ballard the $76.83 still due to him. TJ reimbursed Randolph for his payments to Ballard on the latter date (MB description begins James A. Bear Jr. and Lucia C. Stanton, eds., Jefferson’s Memorandum Books: Accounts, with Legal Records and Miscellany, 1767–1826, 1997, The Papers of Thomas Jefferson, Second Series description ends , 2:1315).
