NB sence the above list was drown of thare has 3 cattle died 1–2 year old heffer and 2 works

Clark, TJ’s overseer at Poplar Forest, may have enclosed this list in his letter to TJ of 24 Apr. 1794, recorded in SJL as received from Poplar Forest on 27 Apr. 1794 but not found. SJL also records eight other letters, now missing, exchanged by TJ and Clark between 22 Jan. 1793 and 27 Mch. 1794.
