Paris, 2 Nov. 1786. This letter is almost identical with TJ’s letter to John Bondfield of this date, q.v., with the exception that it encloses passports for “two thousand four hundred cartouch boxes and accoutrements which will be the amount of the whole purchase when it shall be completed.”
