Hanover Town, 16 Jan. 1781. Has received orders from Gen. Nelson to “March back to Caroline” and keep troops embodied for further orders; thinks they will be sent to Potomac; is sending Capt. Coleman with a request for 250 stand of arms, without which the troops can be of no service.
