Treasury Department, August 31, 1792. Encloses a copy of a letter which he has received from Francis Cabot.1 Concludes that if Lee is “satisfied of the truth of what is alleged, and no prosecution has been commenced, it will be agreeable to me that the wine be surrendered.”
