Treasury Department, July 11, 1792. Cites case of the Schooner Dolphin, which was “admeasured” at both Baltimore and Marblehead. Asks why results of the “ad-measurement” at Marblehead were different from those at Baltimore and asks “to be particularly informed of the usal process which prevails at your port for the admeasuring of vessels.”
