1. Colonel Robert Van Rensselaer of Claverack, New York, was the brother of Mrs. Philip Schuyler.
2. On June 20, 1790, Thomas Jefferson wrote from New York City to David Rittenhouse: “There is a Count Andriani, of Milan, here, who says there is a work on the subject of weights and measures published by Trisi of Milan” ( , VIII, 41).
