Treasury Department, October 3, 1789. Acknowledges receipt of Davidson’s “letter of the 24th of last month.”1 Sends directions for filing of surety bond. States that privileges to ships of the United States are to be extended to Rhode Island and North Carolina vessels until January 15, 1790.
