BF recorded this payment in his accounts, but Charles did not mention it in the accounting for his agency submitted on Aug. 10, 1762; he was paid for copying documents, buying the journals of the House of Commons, and other routine expenses during 1758. “Account of Expences,” p. 12; PMHB, LV (1931), 108; Mabel P. 5. The document also bears the initials “I.N.” probably indicating that at some time Isaac Norris approved the payment.
