Dr Sr.
I shd. have immediately replied to your obliging Letter covering yo the Plans for a House,1 had It not found me employed in preparing Dispatches to go by the Packets—
Accept my thanks for your friendly attention to that matter—The Plans are ingenious—but I shall adopt your Idea of not having the Entry in the middle.
Agreable to your Advice I shall get my Timber from Jersey especially as I prefer oak to pine ^for almost every use—pine^ Boards I think you can supply as cheap and as good as any Body—Be pleased to send me as soon as ma ^it^ can ^be^ conveniently done—
900 White pine plank 11/4 Inch thick
1200 Inch Boards
300 pitch pine plank 11/4 thick
100 white pine plank 2 Inches thick
I am persuaded you will send me the best ^take Care that^ these articles be the best in their Kind—If you any of them should be ^there shd be already any^ seasoned be at the ^Boards at yr.^ mills (which I however think improbable) let them be sent ^I shd. prefer them to green—^ My best Comps. to Mrs. Schuyler—I am Dr. Sir your afft.
