Dear Sir.
The clerk of the court of chancery has, this day, for the first time put into my hands the fi: fa. in your case with Scott which I hasten to enclose to you—and beg you to believe me as ever

Enclosure: statement of account with the Superior Court of Chancery for the Richmond District, [ca. 15 Mar. 1815], showing that TJ is owed $23.08 from the fieri facias in Scott v. Jefferson and Harrison, deducting $3.03 for his 1815 Campbell County land tax, and leaving a balance due TJ of $20.05 (MS in ViU: TJP; written on a scrap in an unidentified hand; undated; endorsed by TJ: “Scott Samuel”; with notation in a different hand: “February 26th 1816 Received”).
William W. Hening was the clerk of the Superior Court of Chancery for the Richmond District.
