Brig. Gen. Edward Hand’s orderly book for this date includes orders for a detachment “to parad. Tomorrow Morning at Nine OClock prepared for a weeks Command. A Solder from each Brigade, who is used to driving a Waggon to parade at the same time for a weeks Command” (DNA: RG 93, Orderly Books, 1775–1783, vol. 20).
