§ From Richard S. Hackley. 28 August 1806, New York. “I had the honor, to address you, under date the 12th Instant, which I forwarded by the mail of the 21st, Containing Some Inclosures to which I beg permission to refer you.
“Those which I now hand you, come to my hands by the mail of this morning.”1
