To Thomas Jefferson from Salmour, [October 1787?]

From Salmour

[Paris, Oct. 1787?] Informs TJ that he has had his audience at Fontainebleau with the king and the royal family “en qualité de Ministre Plenipotentiaire de Son Altesse Serenissime Electorale de Saxe.”

RC (DLC); 2 p.; in French; addressed; without date and not recorded in SJL. Salmour is listed for the first time in the Almanach Royal for 1788 as the minister from Saxony. He was, therefore, probably presented officially sometime during the autumn court at Fontainebleau.
