Samuel McAffee (d. 1847), physician, was a native of County Antrim in northern Ireland. He practiced medicine in Charlottesville beginning in 1819 and remained in the area until at least 1821, after which he relocated to North Carolina, where he continued his practice in Rowan County (Lewis Shore Brumfield, The Brandon, Hudspeth, Reavis and Steelman Book [1991], 16; DNA: RG 29, CS, Albemarle Co., 1820; Albemarle Co.
