[New York, May 2, 1799. On May 30, 1799, John J. U. Rivardi wrote to Hamilton: “I do myself the honor of acknowledging your letter of the 2d. instant, respecting the Superintendent of Indian Affairs1 & shall regulate my conduct accordingly.”2 Letter not found.]
