From Willink, Van Staphorst & Hubbard

Amsterdam, 30 Dec. 1791. Having received TJ’s 26 July letter about his draft of 1,000 dollars in favor of Gouverneur Morris, they paid it at the rate of 50 stivers per dollar and, as TJ directed, charged it at 2,500 florins to the Secretary of State’s public account.

RC (DLC); 1 p.; in a clerk’s hand, signed by both firms; at foot of text: “To Thomas Jefferson Esqr.”; endorsed by TJ as received 28 Mch. 1792 and so recorded in SJL. Dupl (DLC); endorsed by TJ as received 10 Apr. 1792 and so recorded in SJL.
