Mr: Dana presents his most respectful Compliments to Dr: Franklin, is much obliged to him for his invitation at dinner tomorrow, and will do himself the honor to wait on him accordingly—4

4. During January Dana reported himself at loose ends from want of work: Sibley’s Harvard Graduates, XV, 208. At the APS there is also an undated dinner invitation from Dana to WTF for the following Sunday.
