The Secretary of the Treasury presents his respects to the President. has the honor to transmit a Memorial from Colo. Waissenfelt, which came enclosed to him.1

1. The enclosed memorial from Frederick Weissenfels has not been found, but it may have been a letter requesting appointment to a federal position (see Weissenfels to GW, 2 May 1789, and notes).
