In a letter to GW of 30 Nov., Valltravers referred to his letter of “July 3d; from Rotterdam; by Captn Trevett of Marblehead; charged with literary Communications to the learned Societies at Philadelphia, Boston” (DNA: RG 59, Miscellaneous Letters).1
