Norwich [Conn.] Febrr. 23. 1784

Dear Sir,

Your Favor of the 28th of Decr did not reach me before last Week. I shall not fail to give Notice either by Letter or in Person, to the Delegates from this States’ Society, of the time appointed for the general meeting of the Cincinnati.1 I have the Honor to be, most respectfully, Dear Sir, your very humble Servant

Jedediah Huntington (1743–1818) of the Connecticut forces at the beginning of the Revolutionary War was made a brigadier general in the Continental army in 1777 and served until the end of the war. He was president of the Connecticut Society of the Cincinnati.
