[Officers] Of the Day Tomorrow[:] Colonel Livingston[,] Lieutenant Colonel Hait[,] Brigade Major Woodbridge1
The Commanding officers of Regiments are to see that their men’s Arms are cleaned in the best manner and their Ammunition critically Inspected—The Brigade Conductors are to have a proper Quantity of spare Ammunition on hand.
The most pointed Attention is to be paid to the Order respecting cooked provisions;2 and if three days cooked provision could be constantly kept on hand, it would be much preferable to two.
The General Court martial whereof Brigadier General Hand is President will assemble tomorrow morning Nine o’clock at springfield near the Church and proceed on the Trial of Doctor Shippen.3
In case of an Alarm the Members are to repair immediately to their respective Commands.
The officers composing the General Court martial whereof Colonel Meigs is President are to go through the common routine of duty ’till ordered to reassemble.4
A Subaltern from Hand’s Brigade to join the Detachment under Major Parr immediately.5

1. In 1775 and 1776, Theodore Woodbridge (b. 1748) served in the 4th Connecticut Regiment as a lieutenant, and then as a captain in two Connecticut state regiments. In January 1777, he joined the newly formed 7th Connecticut Regiment and became major in March of the following year. Named a brigade major and inspector in June 1779, Woodbridge held that post until July 1781 despite his appointment as major of the new 2d Connecticut Regiment in January of that year. He left the army in January 1783.

Erected in 1761, the Presbyterian meetinghouse in Springfield replaced an older structure that stood at a different site. The British burned the 1761 church (see Battle of Springfield, 23–24 June).
