Adj. Gen. Alexander Scammell’s orderly book entry for this date includes additional general orders: “The Fatigue party for the New orderly room is to be relieved tomorrow.

“A pair of Horsemans Pistols were found sometime ago near Head Quarters and are left at Col. Abiel’s.

“A Corporal and Six men from the 1st Maryd Brigade to be sent as a Fatigue Party to the Adjt Generals Quarters tomorrow morning” (orderly book, 17 Oct. 1779–22 March 1780, DNA: RG 93, Orderly Books, 1775–1783, vol. 33).
