GW’s expenses for this date included £11.5 “To Margrett McCullock bill for house work” (Revolutionary War Household Expenses, 1776–1780, DLC:GW, Ser. 5).

A receipt, dated this date and signed by McCullock with her mark, reads: “Recd of Bildad Edwards Thirty Dollars for two months work which is the full of all Demands that I had against Major Gibbs.” The docket of the receipt indicates that this was McCullock’s bill for two months’ wages (Revolutionary War Accounts, Vouchers, and Receipted Accounts 1, 1776–1780, DLC:GW, Ser. 5).
