Adj. Gen. Alexander Scammell’s orderly book entry for this date includees the following general orders: “The fatigue parties which were to have been sent to repair the roads the 24th instant to be sent tomorrow, as directed in the Orders of the 23d.

“A sub: serjeant & 20 rank & file from Woodfords Brigade for fatigue tomorrow, to parade as Usual.” (orderly book, 22 Dec. 1778–26 June 1779, DNA: RG 93, Orderly Books, 1775–1783, vol. 28).
