Letter not found: to Maj. Alexander Clough, c.9 Jan. 1777. GW said in his letter to George Baylor of 9 Jan. that “I have wrote to a Major Clough to accept the Majority of your Regiment,” and on 10 Jan. GW wrote Robert Hanson Harrison: “Inclosed are unsealed Letters for Baylor & Majr Clough.”
