Cambridge 29 October 1775. “The Circumstances of your petetioners family is Such Occasiond by Sickness And Several Deaths therein very Lately—that he is Obliged to Ask your Excellencys Leave to Resign his Commission in the Service of the Continental Army tho with great reluctance.”
