1. Charles Dick, a merchant in Fredericksburg, George Muse of Caroline County, and GW’s brother Charles arrived at Mount Vernon “In the Evening” of 12 Jan. for a visit of several days (, 2:31).
2. On 16 Jan. GW was “At home all day at Cards—it snowing” (ibid., 32).
3. GW spent the night of 19 Jan. at Belvoir.
