The out Posts at Juniatta New Shawnees Old Shawnesse2 & Ft Cumberland Roads, Likewise that on Franks Town path are to be releivd to Morrow morning the rest to be taken off.

The parties at the out posts are to patrole as Usual.

1Although Col. William Byrd arrived at Raystown from Fort Cumberland with GW on 21 Sept., this was the first time that Forbes made him colonel of the day for the camp. Byrd was ill during most of the summer and perhaps was still unwell.

2“New Shawnees” was Forbes’s road; “Old Shawnesse” was the warriors’ path. See Orders, 22 Sept. 1758, and nn.2 and 3.
