Wednesday 16th. Thermometer at 32 in the Morning—37 at Noon and 36 at Night. Wind at So. Et. & pretty fresh all day with constant rain—notwithstanding which little or no impression was made on the frozen ground by either for it still continued hard. Snow in the open grd. almost entirely carrd. away.
