[Diary entry: 4 July 1785]

Monday 4th. Mercury at 76 in the Morng.—80 at Noon and 82 at Night.

Tolerably pleasant in the forenoon, the Wind being No[rth]wardly, but warm afterwards.

Rid to my Ferry—Dogue run & Neck Plantations—at all of which my Wheat Harvests had begun. That in the Neck had commenced on thursday last.
