[Diary entry: 17 June 1770]

17. Went to Church in the Forenoon & from thence to Colo. Burwells where I dind & lodgd.

The day being Sunday, the burgesses did not meet (JHB description begins H. R. McIlwaine and John Pendleton Kennedy, eds. Journals of the House of Burgesses of Virginia. 13 vols. Richmond, 1905–15. description ends , 1770–72, 77). GW probably attended Bruton Parish Church before going to dine at Kingsmill.
