Edward Jones was Mary Ball Washington’s overseer at the Ferry Farm. Mrs. Julian kept a tavern on the main street of Fredericksburg until about 1777 (Va. Gaz., P&D, 9 July 1772, and D&H, 15 Aug. 1777).
