The Undersigned, Citizens of the United States, beg leave respectfully to recommend Mr. Emanuel Joseph West, An american Merchant Resident at Teneriffe, to your Excellency, as a gentleman eminently qualified to discharge the duties of the Consulate at Teneriffe, which we are informed is Now Vacant. Mr. West is a native Citizen of the United States, is a gentleman of highly respectable character, and Standing, is well acquainted with the Spanish language, and has been established in the Merchantile business at Teneriffe Several Years.
