The Bearer hereof Mr. Daniel Ward wishes to obtain a Commission in the Army

As a young Gentleman of Fair Character, I take the Liberty of recommending him to you, & would thank you, for any Service you may render him. Very respectfully I am Dear Sir Yrs &c
